When is trekking season in Patagonia?
From October to April, it is longer year by year, truly, you can trek all year long. We have winter spectacular excursions.
Are there trekkers in winter?
Just a few come in June, July and August
Do I need solar protector in Patagonia?
Yes, of course, even in a cloudy day.
Can I drink natural water in Torres del Paine?
Yes, it is pure water, but only water from rivers and moving water. Not from lakes or water flows after refuges or Camping sites
How is the weather in Patagonia?
It is extremely unstable, this is the main characteristic. In one day, the weather can change from strong winds, warm and cold breezes, rain and sun. Our summer goes from December to March, frequently windy, long sunny days reaching 18 hours of light on December. The temperature varies according to the area but there are no extremes. We have an annual average between 3° and 7° Celsius degrees. During the summer the average temperatures are between 6° and 12° Celsius degrees.
Is it windy in Patagonia?
Yes, especially in spring and summer, but it does not present risk.
How do I get to Puerto Natales?
There are daily flights from Santiago (Capital of Chile) to Punta Arenas (Capital of the Region) via LAN Chile. 3100 km. far from Santiago, 2300km. from Puerto Montt, 1600km. from Coyhaique. Access with passport, no previous visa required.

How does the food service work?
In our expeditions we provide the food service (Breakfast- Lunch- Dinner). We believe that the food is a key point in an expedition, that's why we prepare the menus in detail, worrying especially for the nutritious requirements in the mountain and the preferences of each participant. Every time it is available and if the schedule allows it we use fresh local products, fish, meat, vegetables..
Is the equipment included?
We offer two options: Our company counts with High-tech equipment (Mountain Hard Wear- Mammut among others) for the most advanced programs: climbing, mountaineering. Or the costumers can bring their own material.
Is there snow on the paths?
No in the regular (October to April).However, in some of the programs there are visits to valleys over 600 mts. high and there is the possibility of snow between 10 to 30 cms.
Do I need previous training to participate in the activities?
You do not need a high training, we recommend an exercise program at least 4 weeks before the excursion. Cycling or jogging twice or three times a week, walking in the mountain with a filled backpack, going up and down your building stairs with some weight on your back are a good way of improving the aerobic capacity. Or go to the gym to fortify the legs mainly.
